Now enough of that let’s get into my DIY project I did today!
Here’s a shot of it all done : ) Now I’m gonna show you/tell you how to make one for yourself!

So about a year ago I bought this Christmas Set from Tarte I used it all the time (Love it) even though you probably can’t tell by the photo it looks like it was never used except for where the Mascara and Brush were in the top of the Set and where the Blush and Bronzer Palette was.. but after a while of it sitting on my Vanity it really started to become an eye sore and take up way too much room then I wanted so this morning I took matters into my own hands, not really sure what I was doing but SO GLAD I DID because now I get to share it with you! (Oh don’t worry I did Depot all of the Shadows and put them in my Z-Palette)

What you’ll need:

Step 1: So the first thing I did not really knowing what I was getting myself into was opened it up and grabbed my Flat Head Screwdriver and pried up each side slowly as to not break the shadows and did the same on the other side being EXTRA careful not to break the mirror (I really don’t need 7 Years of bad luck lol) when I pulled both sides out I didn’t know what would be under them if anything.. it was cardboard though that I ripped holes in as you can see and it was just not cute

Told you… Not pretty.. Anyways… On to….

Step 2: The next thing I did was grab some Hardstock Scrapbook Paper I liked, my Paper Trimmer and Corner Rounder Punch. I measured out the size on the paper and started slicing getting them to fit perfectly then I rounded the corners with the Corner Rounder Punch and it was time to set them in.

Step 3: GLUEEEEEEEEE! Lmfao.. Yes it was time to glue them in I grabbed my Elmers Glue and started putting it on all sides of the inside of the Palette and then Glue on the edges of the Scrapbook Paper I had cut to size, I let the Glue get tacky that way it wouldn’t completely mess up the paper or slide all over the place. So once it was tacky enough I put in the paper, one side at a time, I didn’t press down too hard just let it sit for a few seconds and flattened down the edges and then the middle and let that completely dry. (It took about 30-45 minutes)

Step 4: Once it dried completely I noticed there were a ton of these annoying air bubbles I thought about grabbing a pin and popping them but then I knew it would look like a bunched up mess so instead I grabbed my Flattener and starting flattening out those bubbles. I did have to go very soft and slow as to not rip the paper and make sure I got them all.. It was kind of a pain in the butt

Step 5: Get ALL THOSE ANNOYING BUBBLES OUTTTTTT! And I really did try.. I think it came out pretty well!

AND YOUR DONEEEE! Look how cute and pretty it is just waiting to hold your makeup!
